[6.10 민주항쟁 36주년 기념 재외동포 성명서]
6월 항쟁의 투혼으로 윤석열을 몰아내자!
1987년 6월 10일, 군부독재를 끝장내고 민주공화국 대한민국을 새롭게 세운 6.10 민주항쟁은, 3.1 만세운동과 4.19 혁명, 5.18민주화운동의 정신을 이어받은 거국적 저항이었습니다. 우리 재외동포 민주시민들은 6.10 민주항쟁 36주년을 기념하는 오늘, 윤석열 대통령의 무능•무지•무모•무단•무통•무책임으로 인해 국정을 제대로 수행할 수 없고 나라를 위기에 빠뜨리고 있는 고국의 현 시국에 탄식을 금할 길이 없습니다.
우리 재외동포 민주시민들은 6월 항쟁의 절박함으로, 6월 항쟁의 저항정신으로, 6월 항쟁의 함성으로 고국의 모든 촛불시민들과 연대하여 이 무지막지한 윤석열 정권을 끌어내리고, 주권자인 국민의 목소리에 귀 기울이고 존중하는 진정한 민주정부가 설 때까지 멈추지 않고 행동할 것임을 천명합니다.
청계광장에서 몇백 개로 시작한 촛불은, 촛불의 냇물을 이루고, 그 냇물이 강물이 되고, 이제 거대한 촛불의 바다를 이뤄가고 있습니다. 지구 곳곳에 살고 있는 재외동포 여러분, 6월 항쟁을 기억하고 되새기는 것은 포기하지 않고 바다로 가는 강줄기에 함께하는 것입니다.
하나가 열이 되고, 열이 백이 되고, 백이 수천수만이 되는 윤석열 퇴진 투쟁의 깃발을 우리 해외에서도 높이 올립시다! 우리 한민족의 평화뿐만 아니라 이 시대를 함께 살아가는 세계 만민의 평화를 염원하며, 민중이 주인인 우리의 고국이 되도록 대한민국을 함께 일으켜 세웁시다!

[Statement by Overseas
Koreans on the 36th Anniversary of the June 10th Democratic Movement]
Expel Yoon Seok-yeol through the spirit of the June Democratic Movement!
On June 10th, 1987, the June 10th Democratic Movement, which ended military dictatorship and established the Republic of Korea as a democratic nation, was a patriotic resistance that carried on the spirit of the March 1st Independence Movement, the April 19th Revolution, and the May 18th Democratization Movement. On this day, as overseas Korean citizens commemorating the 36th anniversary of the June 10th Democratic Movement, we cannot help but lament the current state of our homeland, which is facing a crisis due to the incompetence, ignorance, recklessness, unauthorized actions, lack of communication, and irresponsibility of President Yoon Seok-yeol, hindering the proper governance of the nation.
Yoon Seok-yeol's traitorous diplomacy, diplomatic disasters, prosecutorial dictatorship, devastation of people's livelihoods, exacerbation of the war crisis, hatred and oppression of labor, suppression of freedom of the press, and the formation of a security state are all collective errors and numerous violations that warrant judgment. Furthermore, by observing this administration's response to the discharge of contaminated water from Fukushima and considering the Itaewon tragedy, it becomes evident that they not only show no concern for the health and lives of the citizens, which should be protected, but also regard the nation and its people as tools for their own interests and power.
As overseas Korean citizens, in the urgency of the June movement, with the resistance spirit of the June movement, and with the shouts of the June movement, we solemnly declare that we will join forces with all candlelight citizens of our homeland to overthrow this ignorant and colossal Yoon Seok-yeol administration, and we will continue to take action until a true democratic government that listens to and respects the voices of the sovereign citizens is established.
The candles that started with a few hundred in Cheonggye Square have formed a stream of candlelight, which has now become a river and is building a vast sea of candlelight. To all overseas Koreans living in various parts of the world, remembering and reflecting upon the June movement means not giving up and joining together in the river that flows towards the sea.
Together, let us hoist the banner of the movement demanding Yoon Seok-yeol's resignation, which starts with one and becomes ten, then a hundred, and eventually millions. As we yearn not only for peace for our Korean people but also for peace for all the people of the world living in this era, let us join hands and uplift the Republic of Korea as a country where the people are the true owners.
